Austin Higginbotham
Principal
Austin is a Principal at Aquia Group, bringing more than six years of experience on Capitol Hill helping position members for legislative and political success. His background spans senior leadership roles where he oversaw legislative strategy, political operations, and member engagement at the highest levels.
Most recently, Austin served as Chief of Staff to Congressman Pat Fallon (R-TX). In this role, he managed all legislative and political operations and played a central role in elevating the Congressman’s profile within the House. During his tenure, Austin helped position Congressman Fallon to secure a subcommittee chairmanship on the House Armed Services Committee, as well as appointments to the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the House Steering Committee.
Prior to his work with Congressman Fallon, Austin served as Deputy Chief of Staff to Congressman Mark Alford (R-MO), who currently serves on the House Appropriations Committee. Across his Capitol Hill experience, Austin developed a reputation as a strategic advisor and trusted operator with deep knowledge of House procedures, committee dynamics, and member services.
Austin’s professional expertise includes legislative strategy, political operations, member relations, and coalition building. He is known for his ability to navigate complex institutional processes and help members achieve both policy and political objectives.
Austin graduated from Wofford College with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Economics. He later earned his MBA from The Citadel's Baker School of Business.
